Although it is a natural opal, black opal whose background color is darkened by smoke is sold in Bangkok, but there are various problems in its processing, and polishing craftsmen continue to be troubled to solve them.

If you search the net, you will find only negative things, such as the natural play-of-color (play-of-color effect) disappears when you polish it, or it becomes dark like a cloud and cannot be repaired. I asked for professional opinion, but I didn't get an answer because smoke treatment is done in Africa not in Bangkok.

Our  craftsmen have been working on this for weeks,  but it seems that they haven't fully mastered the technique yet.
However, the answer  seems to have come to light only recently.

Of course, choosing good quality is the first step, but making beautiful things shine more beautifully is depends on craftsmanship.

It finally came true with this black opal.

That's how Sheen  got a stunning black opal ring and pendant.

I would like to sell it as a pair because it looks exactly like the same rough stone cut in two.

At this angle of light, it looks mysterious green, but when you change the angle, you can see multiple colors. It's hard to capture in a photo.

When exposed to strong light, the green becomes even stronger, and red and blue are visible, making it a mysterious stone.

I just put it in the showcase yesterday, it seems to be firmly grasping the customer's eyes.

The pendant has another design with a chain.

It's also a very nice stone.

The color change is amazing depending on the angle

A really great play of color.

Each opal is different, so no two are the same, but such a beautiful stone may be rare. Cutting craftsman didn't kill this color by polishing, The amazing color is stable and doesn't fade even when it's soaked in water.
Usually,  soaking smoked opal in water should be avoided because it damages the appearance.

It is lined up in the shop, so if you are interested, please take a look at it. It will surely steal your heart!

By the way, it's already the weekend, but I may be able to take it easy this week for the first time in a while.

Until last week, I was busy inspecting jade samples to be shipped to Japan, and my head was spinning because of the accumulated works.
At the same time , I have to make samples for the next TV show.
I sent the brooch pendant that I posted on my previous blog to Japan safely along with the glitter of lavender and other designs.

It was decorated with engraving, assembled at the end, and the jade was set at the very end.

I intended to make it as easy as possible, but it got more and more complicated, so it took a lot of time and effort.

When this happens, I want to call it a artwork rather than a product.

Moreover, a rare stone lavender jade is featured. I was relieved that the cutting of the stone in Myanmar was just in time.

Is the color of lavender light? I was worried about that, but it wasn't like that, and I felt that this natural color was much more dignified than the unnaturally dark color.

After various things, finally Sheen and I (from the afternoon) will be waiting for you at the store tomorrow Saturday as well.

Well then!
