On a quiet Sunday afternoon, I went to
the opposite bank of the Chao Phraya River
to take a walk for exercising in an unknown place that was
close and easy to reach. Take the BTS to
Krung Thonburi station, transfer to the monorail
and get off at Khlong San station, and
enter the narrow road beside the Bangkok bank
then head towards the river. It was said that
there was a local market, but most of the stalls were
empty probably because of the covid 19 epidemic.
I kept walking closer to the river, I found a
warehouse-like building . It is a simple black-painted
old building, Sign says" The Jam Factory"
.
It may have been a warehouse in the past because
it is close to the pier.
I saw the light inside,so I entered.
it is a gallery of well designed furniture and lighting.
There is a cafe and a bookstore in the back.
There were many Caucasian people enjoying coffee quietly,
and I felt the atmosphere of a foreign country right here.
When I moved out to the backyard, I found another building
that looks like a gallery. There was a few person
quietly drinking coffee under a big tree.
Even the cat looked relaxed.
If you walk further to the river,
there is a Thai restaurant.
The sign says Never Ending Summer.
This is also a warehouse style building. The outside is
quite rustic and quiet,
, but I was surprised to see many customers inside.
While looking at the menu, a couple from the pier came in.
The price is affordable, mainly around 200 baht,
so I thought I'd come next time.
Today, I have plans to buy seafood at Nakajima Suisan
(Seafood) in ICONSIAM near here, and I'm not hungry,
so I decided to come another time.
Looking at the brochure in the cafe,
it seems that the items
displayed in the gallery are the works of designers
from Amsterdam.
That's why the area around this building may have felt
the atmosphere like a foreign country.
Contemporary jewelry seems to suit such an atmosphere.
How about these rings.

Right: Cabochon Aquamarine Ring
Well Then !
