Nightshade opal

I have always been fascinated by the beauty of black opals that I see in the markets of Bangkok.

Speaking of natural black opal, it is still rare, expensive and difficult to obtain, but synthetic black opal that pursues its beauty is made, and some opal is laminated with glass or quartz. In addition, artificially produced products such as so-called doublets and triplets are also on sale.

I thought that the play-of-color effect of opal, which is so beautiful that even such non natural things can be felt, is something that will capture people's hearts, but what fascinated me was not imitations, not lamination, but natural opal. It is the emergence of black opal that only enhances the color with natural ones.

Even if the treated black opal appeared, it took a long time for us to make jewelry with it.

We call it nightshade opal, but the opal's night-dark color is present not only on the surface but also inside the stone. There were many issues to consider, such as technics that keep its play of color effect after recutting, and most of them were resolved, and the long-awaited jewelry production was completed.

The brilliance of Nightshade (Black) Opal, which is so beautiful that it makes my heart throb in an unexpected moment, while it usually have a casual face, grabbed my heart and won't let go.

This time, I chose this black opal to accompany my trip from Thailand to Japan.

This is because I wanted to confirm the play-of-color effect caused by changes in light.

Here's what the ring looked like under the fluorescent lights in my office in Bangkok.

Even though it is black, is it a stone with a play-of-color effect of red in the foreground? I thought at that time.

However, when I got to the seat near the window, it looked like this.

And when I came to Japan and looked at the fingers typing on the PC in the room of my house in Tokyo, I saw this.

I was working in a dark room, so it was just a nightshade. However, I feel that it is not an ordinary stone that you can see a mysterious light behind the black.

When I changed the place and looked at the place where the light entered, it looked like this.

I feel the mysterious radiance that can be seen from the deep darkness that is suitable for naming it as a nightshade (black) opal.

After all, I feel that the biggest attraction is that the natural opal shine is left as it is. The artificial glow that always shines in the same way everywhere is stable, but there is something missing.

In order to include this black opal ring and pendant in the " Un tresor " spring/summer collection on Jupiter shop channel, it was necessary to use very carefully selected materials, so we have to work even harder to deliver good products to everyone who chooses our collection. That is why our polishing specialist is also working hard every day.

It's not a material that can always be sold, so this time we're planning to sell a limited number of them on a late-night program on the shop channel.

"Welcome to the Jewelry Salon" will be shown late at night on June 2nd (the program will start at 1:00 am on the 3rd with a new date), and it is said that advanced jewelry enthusiasts will be watching this program even late at night. Because of this, there is pressure to only sell something special.

Therefore, four items other than black opal are also available with special specifications.

It's always my goal to make sure you're happy with your purchase even few years after your purchase.

The black opal has a simple design to maximize the charm of the stone, but since it is a delicate material, we do not forget to surround it with strong prongs.

In fact, if you shine a strong light like a downlight or studio light, you will be surprised by the play-of-color effect.
I don't show the picture of the strongest play of color here in this blog in order to surprise the purchaser .

The play-of-color effect varies from stone to stone, and no two stones are the same, so the stone you get will be your own special stone, and that is the joy of natural gemstones.

By the way, I would like to add one of the other four points if I have a chance to upload it separately.

It's a very rare item.

Well then!
