Our new year dishes- fusion style.

Even when I'm busy, I usually make something myself, but this year (not something I'm proud of ) I didn't make any osechi dishes.

"Osechi" is traditional Japanese new year dishes.

The last day for work in 2023 was December 29th, and everyone at the workshop  worked to the fullest until the end for the coming shipment set in mid January.
I had predicted in advance that this would happen, so I made a reservation for New Year's dishes at a restaurant in Bangkok, just like last year, knowing that I would probably not have time to prepare the dishes because I would be so busy with cleaning.

On the 30th, I cleaned my house, but it took a lot of time to clean the kitchen and bathroom, the washing machine was running at full speed, and I couldn't finish all the work I had planned on that day.
Chef T went out to the field to fly, so I ended up shopping late at night.

I continued to work on the remaining work on the 31st and finally had the room sparkling by the time the sun set.  I'm really exhausted now, and my precious two days off at the end of the year are spent only cleaning.

I've heard that year-end events around Bangkok will be particularly grand this year, but it seems even more tiring to walk through the crowds at such times, so I thought I'd watch the fireworks along the Chao Phraya River from my balcony. It's the best! ! However, I was so tired from cleaning for two days that I accidentally fell asleep
while watching Japanese popular yearend music TV program .

As I was lying on the sofa, I woke up to the sound of a roar coming from the river.

I looked at the clock and it was 12 o'clock. When I looked outside my balcony, I saw heavy traffic on Sathorn Road.

A line of cars tried to watch the fireworks from the top of Sathorn Bridge, but they were unable to reach the bridge until 12 o'clock. They deserve consolation prize.

The fireworks were huge, longer than usual, and went off from all over the place, making it very colorful and wonderful.

Well, for the new year, I received the osechi that I had ordered.

I picked it up on the night of the 31st, and I'm glad that it wasn't frozen and pre-made.

I just took out the bowl and plated it.

Last year I ordered it for the first time, so I bought a small amount to try it out, just to have a snack, but it was so good that I ordered a full one this year.

I really enjoyed the many elaborate dishes that didn't include the usual kamaboko, date rolls, or namasu, and were a fusion of Japanese and Western dishes.

With this new year, I was finally able to take a breather.

2024 is the year of the dragon.

Jewelry with motifs such as rising dragons is available in various designs including jade, but gold and diamond jewelry like this is simple and goes well with any outfit.

The seahorse diamond pendant is for those who prefer a gentler atmosphere than the dynamic dragon, and its slightly unique expression is the key point.

Well, Bangkok Sheen opened on the 3rd.

I was grateful for the fancy decorations that I received as a present from my friend.
I displayed them next to the showcase at the front desk.

I want my family to be safe and my business to be prosperous.

Thank you everyone for your continued support this year.

Well, since the beginning of the year, various things like the earthquake and airport collision have happened and it has become a new year that I can't honestly say congratulations, but I would like to make an effort to increase the number of good things and things that make me happy every day.

I also wish you all the best in your health.

Well then!
