Songkran is coming! What will Sheen do?

If you live in Thailand, have you already entered the long Songkran holiday? Or those who are from now on,,, or those who will spend this year quietly without moving.


Sheen will operate as follows.

Thursday, April 13th from 2:00pm to 6:00pm
Friday, April 14th from 2:00pm to 6:00pm

Saturday 15th April Sunday 16th Closed

Regular business hours from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from Monday, April 17

It's a holiday that Thai staff are looking forward to, so of course I would like to take care of the shop alone.

During Songkran, Silom Village, where Sheen is located, does not have water fights, so it feels very quiet every year. If you have time, please visit Sheen at this time.


Even if you don't go far, how about a short trip like this for those who want to see a little bit of sightseeing in Bangkok?

A trip to visit a temple on a boat on a canal,

Ride a boat on the Saen Saep canal, the foot of the common people, instead of the Chao Phraya River where tourist boats come and go.
It might be a good idea to visit the Golden Temple.
On Sunday, right after I came back from Japan, I went there for exercise.


Only 15 minutes from Pratu Nam Pier. The fare is B14 and will be paid on board the ship.

The boatman's skills are excellent and he flies through a narrow canal at a good speed.



A ship that runs with splashes of waves. It's okay because the ship is wrapped in  transparent vinyl like saran wrap, it won't get wet.

Walk for about 5 minutes to reach the Golden Mountain Temple.










If you get tired of walking, take a short break.


Unfortunately, the famous Khao Man Gai restaurant "Jae Yi " across from the entrance of the temple was closed, but the Thai Noodle stall across the street was open.
We ordered immediately.


Plenty of ingredients, delicious and cheap, this is 55 baht.
I was satisfied,,,
There was a picture of someone who looked like a celebrity on the glass of the stall, so maybe it's a famous store?

Only one thing,
The first thing you want to check when you get on a canal boat is the life vest on the roof.




The water in the canal is never beautiful, so I don't want to fall under any circumstances,

Let's check it just in case of fall. A picture that seems to be a wearing method is shown on
the vest's vinyl cover.
There is no explanation of how to use the life vest by the conductor like when boarding an airplane.


By the way, traveling with Tuk tuk in Bangkok is also thrilling but fun.

Although it is a natural opal, black opal whose background color is darkened by smoke is sold in Bangkok, but there are various problems in its processing, and polishing craftsmen continue to be troubled to solve them. If you search the net, you will find only negative things, such as the natural play-of-color (play-of-color effect) disappears when you polish it, or it becomes dark like a cloud and cannot be repaired.
